unconventionalcourtship and I'm not satisfied with it. I was all set to write a pirate AU but duh, merryghoul, searching for Age of Sail research in a short time frame isn't going to go well. So I went with "merryghoul revisits 2019-20 WWE...again." Don't worry, I'm not doing every wrestler that was active in WWE from 2019-20.
Over the summer I hope to expand this fic using an oldfemslashficlets table while pondering what I might do with Iddy Iddy Bang Bang, if anything at all. I had this idea but I have no idea if I'm going to do that one idea. Probably will write down all my ideas. Anyway,

Asuka has a long way to go. She's got a fresh start playing in SmackDown's women's tag team division, but getting her wrestling career back on track is going to take more than a change of scenery. She's got to shut her past out and focus. On the matches, not on her new teammate, a recent call up from NXT with a sunny disposition--and annoyingly distracting good looks.
All Kairi Sane ever wanted was to fight on the main roster, and she's not going to waste one single second of her time on SmackDown. Exercise keeps her head in the game. But her teammate keeps knocking her off track. Maybe it's just that Asuka's been grumpy lately. Or maybe it's something else, something Kairi doesn't have a name for yet.
Asuka and Kairi spend all their time together--in the ring, in catering, in hotels--and ignoring their unspoken feelings isn't making them go away. Acting on attraction is one thing, but turning a fling into forever would mean facing the past--and redefining the future.
