I'm merryghoul. I save fics I like at merryghoul; here are my Classic and New Who recs and here are my Torchwood recs.

In general I like casefic, hurt/comfort, noir AUs, fairy tale and/or mythology AUs, angst, fluff, the friends to lovers trope, magical people and worlds, and pretend couples. I also don't mind porn: some of my favorite kinks include bondage, begging, and femdom. But if you want to write porn without any particular kink, I also like that as well.

Crossovers between New and Classic Who (including Big Finish, the EDAs and/or other novels, the comics, or anything not considered "canon," like Curse of Fatal Death) and/or Torchwood are okay; please no crossovers with non-Doctor Who canons.

My general dislikes are: character bashing, characters constantly getting hurt, vomitplay, fics in the second person, high school AUs, mundane AUs, schmoop.

I do ship all the couples I've listed, but if you feel more comfortable with gen, I have no problem with it.

For Doctor Who I'm requesting Third Doctor/Jo Grant, Fourth Doctor/Romana I, Fourth Doctor/Romana II, Fifth Doctor/Tegan Jovanka, Fifth Doctor/Nyssa of Traken, Fifth Doctor/Tegan Jovanka/Nyssa of Traken, Eleventh Doctor/River Song, Twelfth Doctor/Clara Oswin Oswald, Amy Pond/Amy Pond, River Song/Mels Zucker and Romana I/Romana II. (Note: When I nominated Amy/Amy, I envisioned younger Amy and older Amy as seen in "The Girl Who Waited," but if you'd like to write a different Amy/Amy pairing, feel free!) I'd love to see fic where where any of these pairings/characters go to any place off Earth and have any sort of adventure. They could be vacationing, they could be stopping some sort of threat, they could be adventuring inside the TARDIS--whatever happens off Earth is up to you. What can I say? I'm a big fan of serials/episodes where the action takes place off Earth.

For Torchwood I'm requesting Gwen Cooper/Suzie Costello, Suzie Costello/Toshiko Sato and Mary/Toshiko Sato. I've always been interested in the darker side of these pairings. I'd really like a fic that explores these twisted relationships/romances. I see Suzie as someone who uses people for her own means, and I can see Suzie using her relationship with Tosh and/or Gwen to further her personal goals, whether she's alive (pre-series) or dead (in and beyond "They Keep Killing Suzie"). I see the same thing with Mary/Tosh--but what if Mary wasn't found out immediately by Team Torchwood? How long could she string Tosh along, and what if Tosh ever found out the truth about Mary? Feel free to ignore Series 2 and beyond if you'd like.
