merryghoul: mel III take off your clothes (mel III take off your clothes)
What's said to be the last ever DORS ends (fittingly, given the title of the release) with four stories centered around loss (specifically River losing her parents; her mother is mentioned often in the audio). River travels to a pub in the 18th century, promises to keep Jackie Tyler company during a wellness retreat, has to find an artifact after a war, and, uh...the last bit features several realities and some returning things.

(Fannish 50 entry 3/50.)

Unlike other DORS entries (four separate stories or four stories that form one story arc), this audio drama is one story over four parts. River goes to a house on Earth to explore an anomaly at a house. Obviously things aren't what they seem.

Very much like my last review, I think this might not be as long and detailed as my other reviews. But it's a review, right?

The stories are set at various points of River's life, to keep it short before getting in depth.

You’re about to read something I didn’t write and proofread in advance, so apologies if I sound out of sorts or typo a lot below.

Anyway, this season is all about all sorts of energy, set during Liz Shaw’s time with Three and UNIT.

The series inspired by a pitch about placing River in situations on the “fringes” of Classic Who stories.1 River finds herself in situations starting just before or during the Classic Who serials An Unearthly Child, The Abominable Snowmen, Carnival of Monsters, and The Talons of Weng-Chiang. Don’t worry—there are River/Doctor meetings just like the other seasons before this one. (Hint: not Four.)

Slight spoilers, especially for the Peepshow audio )

Don't ask.

Otherwise, this installment of DORS finds River fighting against the Discordia, devil-looking alien space-time pirates, with a variety of companions and later with the Fourth Doctor.

no seriously don't ask )

(A review)

Last year, when The Diary of River Song Series 2 came out, I decided to take a break from Doctor Who spin-offs. Since the third installment of The Diary of River Song is coming soon (whenever that is), I decided to go back and listen to Series 2, the adventure with the Sixth and Seventh Doctors.
