Not much is known about the Last Great Time War. It's an event mentioned in book, comic and new series TV canon (possibly tying in old series TV canon), but aside from a few key events and mentions, especially in the new series TV canon, it's not a highly documented event in the Doctor's life or the history of Gallifrey. Since I'm down to a couple of bingo squares for au_bingo  and I really didn't want to write anything for this square, I bring you some what if? Time War recs.

The major character in all these recs is the Eighth Doctor, since he's the Doctor who was forced to fight in this war. And since this is the Eighth Doctor, a lot of the canon comes from either his New Series Adventure books or Big Finish audio dramas. Spoilers ahoy.
