Years ago I probably made some fic recs (and a lot of other fannish things) to the Kink Bingo community. For various reasons I won’t list here, I took the recs (and other fanworks) off the comm. I rediscovered the post I made with the aforementioned recs recently. Since

recthething is, well, a thing, I’ve decided to share these recs there.

Originally there were ten recs, but some of the fics were hosted on LJ kink memes that have now been deleted. I have no idea if the authors saved their fics to another site. For the fics I do have links for, reccer chooses not to warn.

A while back, there was an event similar to the Fandom Snowflake Challenge called the Fandom Appreciation Challenge. Thing is, I couldn’t really make heads or tails of the posts I wrote for that challenge, and because I changed my usernames during the middle of that challenge, the cross posts didn’t automatic update with changes. And the HTML then was a mess. So I decided, for my sanity, to delete these posts, but to save the recs I made for the challenge. These are old recs, so everything is from 2014 or earlier, and the fandoms are: BBC Sherlock, Doctor Who (1967 and 2005), Torchwood, Burn Notice, Orphan Black, Mary Poppins (specific canon unknown), fics from the Jukebox challenge, and Sleepy Hollow (TV).

So this list was made originally on Tumblr for my ease and convenience. That was before Tumblr was taken over by people so hellbent on keeping porn off its servers or whatever. So Tumblr took my rec list down, and I’m sure this looked like I took the list down in shame sometime in the past when I was going through some self-confidence issues. However I did find the original list on Tumblr. Thing is those assholes won’t let me copy over the HTML, so I mostly AO3’s HTML to recreate the list for DW. Oh, how I miss Common Law. Common Law was a show that aired on the USA Network in 2012. It was about two detectives named Travis and Wes who were sent to couples therapy to work out their issues in between solving crimes. Over the course of the show, we learned more about Travis, Wes, and the issues that divided the two of them. The show was canceled that same year because of low ratings--low ratings that, ironically, don't look too bad now compared to most everything that's still currently on USA Network.

Although the fandom's small and mostly dead because of its one season on USA, I was able to put together a list of fics that focuses on Travis and Wes going to therapy in some way.
