Some things

So earlier this morning, because these days I'm more wary about the LiveJournal TOS, I had to edit one of my stories so my LJ wouldn't be suspended. I mean, it's not like I'm really on LJ anymore except for challenges, but yeah, I had to edit it. I checked out the Dreamwidth and AO3 TOS and I should be okay with them, but LJ...I don't want anyone to come across my LJ, report it and have the journal suspended.

Speaking of challenges, I'm not doing a big bang fic on Blair/Jenny, since doing a fic on these characters AU Gossip Girl S1 would have its limitations on LJ. (Now you know why I edited my LJ.)  Instead, I'll start drafting a big bang fic on S3 Blair/Vanessa. It's familiar territory--Blair and Vanessa go to NYU! And fight in canon! There will be a bigger AU spin on it unlike my story about Blair and Vanessa taking Snow White 2000 literally or Blair and Vanessa playing Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I'm thinking Blair, Vanessa and Dan are forced to take the same theater class/seminar together, a bit more realistic (and more of a nod to book!Blair) than canon-Blair-decides-to-impress-theater-majors-so-she-hires-Lady-Gaga-to-perform. Blair is still dating Chuck but Blair is more affected by his emotional unavailability/abuse. Blair and Vanessa get together over time to talk about Chuck since Serena is working for KJ (or whatever her name is) and Jenny is, well, not at NYU. Blair role plays situations--with Chuck, in her fantasies, maybe even her infamous Audrey Hepburn nightmares--and the two have a very clandestine affair Gossip Girl never manages to figure out. Meanwhile, Dan writes the play, based on Blair's role playing. (Or maybe it'll allegorical, like the three write a retelling of Beauty and the Beast or something. IDK yet.) At the end of the fic Blair leaves Chuck and maybe starts a relationship with Vanessa. Regardless, Blair and Vanessa become friends and the show's canon can suck it.

And since this is written any similar ideas will be taken to fanfic court.

I'll start drafting and writing it for kink_bigbang but if kink_bigbang doesn't happen, I'll send my rough draft to ladiesbigbang . I won't sign up for ladiesbigbang since I don't think they'll allow one work on two big bangs. (Does any big bang do that? I assume not.) kink_bigbang hasn't shown signs of life for another round just yet, but I'll be patient; sign-ups were mid July last year, so I won't sweat it.

What I WILL sweat is if my vacationthon fic isn't betaed by mid-next month. I sent out a call for another beta on a LJ comm for betas. No one's bitten yet. D:

(Reposted 2/4/2015 after I had a change of heart about orphaning this, and this was one of my first Burn Notice fics, after all. Eh, at least now there's a working link between this journal and my LJ for this one now. Also originally posted for Kink Bingo, but I'm breaking my ties with that challenge, slowly but surely.)
