A bit belated, but I had a headache after this aired. And then I watched this late because I've just gotten into Scandal, and OMG SCANDAL. Also, it's the days before Porn Battle, so I was working on whatever prompts I felt comfortable would be added to the prompt list. And, of course,
who_daily. So this had to wait. Next week, since Suits airs by itself, this will be up a bit earlier.
We start with: Mike still having relations with Tess and trying to reconcile with Rachel, which is really, really smart. Harvey's dating a Zoe, much to the chagrin of Harvey/Donna and Harvey/Mike shippers everywhere. Louis is still fucked because he voted for Hardman. And then Harvey brings Mike to "a crisis."
This crisis is Liam, who runs over someone (a man with the last name of Chung) after leaving a party and drives away. It gets Homeland-ish. (If you've seen their hit and run subplot, I mean.)
Harvey talks to Mike about his feelings again, which is justified because Mike's grandmother died an episode or two ago.
Louis has a relationship with Sheila, "Female Louis," now. It's based on him hiring a recent Harvard grad and it involves sex in hotel rooms and various kinky stuff: coconut oil, ski mask, duct tape. This should be a problem, relationship-wise. But Louis and Sheila don't care.
Harvey and Mike are trying to get Liam out of jail by claiming the hit and run's an accident to a Katrina working the case, but no dice.
Louis ends up groveling to keep his hire, Maria.
Mike tries to blame Chung, who does illegal graffiti, for the hit and run, which...okay, that's not how a hit and run works. Katrina takes the deal, but she's not impressed. At all.
Harvey decides to settle with Chung's family, much to Mike's chagrin. But he lets Mike handle the "crisis" instead.
Another fight with Rachel. This isn't surprising, since Mike keeps fucking up in the romance department. And this time, reconciliation isn't happening soon.
Mike offers the Chungs 100K. They take it.
Meanwhile,Batman Louis has sex with female Louis over Maria. ...Yeah.
(Friendly reminder that, unlike what Louis says in the episode, safe words are not for pussies.)
Harvey meets up with Zoe and her niece Olivia, and it's adorable.
Mike has to see Liam, high, and he's with Tess when Harvey tells him to do so. Let's be honest, this show doesn't move without Mike fucking up a lot. At the meeting...whoops, Liam was high when he hit Chung! And now Mike's pissed.
So Mike tells Harvey about high Liam. Harvey tells him to calm down, but Mike doesn't.
Donna finds out about Louis and Maria.
Mike talks to another lawyer about his hit and run case, and the lawyer is no help.
Donna being Donna, she figures out Maria could screw the firm up over Mike and promptly tells Harvey, who is not impressed. (That part should've been in the episode. Maybe it's on the cutting room floor?) Harvey tells Jessica, and they implement a scheme that involves a hiring freeze to stop Maria from being hired.
Harvey tells Katrina about Liam getting high. She ignores it. Mike is still, predictably, pissed.
Donna tells Harvey about the Liam deal as well as the hiring freeze that Harvey is personally ignoring (he's hiring Katrina as a bribe). This will backfire on him, obviously.
Back in Sheila's hotel room, sexytimes are interrupted because of Louis being duped by the hiring freeze scheme.
Harvey rages at Mike for not being grateful for the Katrina bribe and the Liam crisis. Maybe Harvey should rage at himself?
(shot of Rachel looking at Mike in tears, almost, as Mike takes the elevator down)
With nowhere else to hurl his rage, Mike goes in on Liam. End of case.
Harvey buys Zoe a car...because he can. (He buys flowers for Zoe's niece.) Zoe's brother is dying, and she's going to adopt her niece as her own, so she can't play with him. I guess Harvey/Zoe is over.
For a married woman, Tess hangs out way too much at Mike's, and to masturbate there, even. Mike finally breaks up with her.
(shots of sad people being sad)
So I guess we're back at sad people being sad. But next week there's in-office fighting, which should be a bit more fun than sad people being sad.
