Probably good I’m doing this, since editing one of my posts kept crashing on me, wtf.
Anyway, these are all the FSC recs I made that haven’t been taken off the internet in some way (I know one rec I made was deleted because of a deleted journal, alas). Also free of unprompted self-recs now (there will be another post for prompted self-recs, because that was part of FSC).
2012
Narcosis (1721 words) by Wallwalker
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: BioShock
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Andrew Ryan, Augustus Sinclair, Other(s)
Additional Tags: Orgy, Sex Club, Anonymous Sex, Voyeurism, Tentacles, Body Modification, Asexual Character, Pre-Canon, Going Crazy With Tags, Community: kink_bingo
Summary: Secretive underground clubs are opening in Rapture, clubs that promise every bizarre pleasure imaginable, and for only a small price.
For those unaware, part of the Bioshock franchise is set in Rapture, designed to be an underwater utopia filled with smart people. Unfortunately various factors make Rapture a war-torn city filled with drug addicts and other genetically modified people. In this story, there are secret clubs that allow you to modify your body to receive maximum pleasure, including tentacles. Isn't everything better with tentacles? No?
the self-titled LP | Gossip Girl RPF | Leighton Meester/Jessica Szohr |
dirty_diana | NC-17
Um, the original rec didn’t mention that this is a rock girl group AU with everyone in the cast mentioned (aside from the then-underage Taylor Momsen), and I said the pairing in this was “hot,” whatever that meant at the time. But aside from the mention of someone accused of sexual assault (after the show ended), this is one of the few music AUs that I’m able to get into.
when we feel a storm | Luther | Gen (Alice Morgan, Zoe Luther) |
hestia8 | no rating given (zombie violence)
Cracky zombie story that has been Jossed somewhat because of a character death (from the first series) in canon, but it's still a good, short read.
Failsafe | Torchwood | Gwen Cooper/Suzie Costello |
prochytes | NC-17
The original note here also didn’t explain this rec, which has Suzie coming back from the dead(?) during the Doctor Who episodes “The Stolen Earth” and “Journey’s End” (when the Hub was placed in a time bubble to protect itself from a Dalek) to use Gwen for her own nefarious purposes. I probably worked under the assumption that people understood why I liked that particular rec, which...um, my bad? This was originally written for the now-defunct fest dark_fest, and while it wouldn’t be my way of interpreting the prompt
prochytes chose for that fest, I do love how they interpreted the idea of Gwen, Suzie, and “waking the dead.”
Life Unexpected | Torchwood | Jack/Ianto |
nariko_d | NC-17
I’m not as crazy now as I was about this fic when I was still more in love with Torchwood fandom, but this is a novel-length fic where Jack and Ianto deal with Ianto getting pregnant by alien means.
(Un)Expecting | Doctor Who/Torchwood | Alice Carter/Jenny ("The Doctor's Daughter"), Amy/Rory, Jack/John |
queenfanfiction | PG
What I’ve typed above applies to this fic, but this is a fpreg fic with a crack femslash pairing at the heart of it (and well before Big Finish actually continued Jenny’s adventures).
and you're wild for the night | Suits | Harvey/Jessica |
o_contrary| NC-17
Can you really say a PWP also has a good fanon idea about two characters meeting? Because I originally wrote something like that about this fic. This was also the first Suits fic I really liked coming into the fandom when it was still new and active.
