It took me a while to say I'm back, but I'm back from taking care of my house.

Right, so I'm going to not do Be the First this year because I burned out from not working on my project for that for too long. And I've decided to fill old prompts from prompt fests with drabbles for my femslashficlets tables. Why? I foolishly decided to sign up for unconventionalcourtship for the first time in a while. I decided I wanted to write about 1) Becky Lynch and 2) something based on a near-erotica vampire summary. And I also wanted a break from exchanges for a while.

Going to posts some drabbles I meant for a femslashficlets table for a different femslash100100 table soon.

Just read about the latest Doctor Who spinoff/get-an-actor-to-write-a/River Song novel, The Ruby’s Curse. Of course I’ll find some way to review that book later this year.

While I’m here, I’m working on my femslashficlets folklore table. It’s just what I ended up working on was totally different from what I was planning to do at one point, ficlets for this year’s Three Sentences Ficathon. I’ll put the ficlets I wrote here (they’re all WWE-themed) and actually use them to fill a femslash100100 table I picked up years ago and struggled to fill soon.

Ever since I found that 17776 work skin tutorial, I’ve been looking for other tutorials to reformat some of my older works. Some of them are way too old for modern-day iOS Messages formatting. One of my WWE fics I wrote for femslashficlets, Coffee and Rage (Bayley/Sasha, G) isn’t, so I applied an iOS Messages-style skin to the fic. (The version I posted on my journal will remain as is btw.)

Posted my Yuletide fic a few days ago, so I’m good on that front. Just writing this note to hold myself accountable to go through any gifts I’ve crossposted here and at the very least note that they’re archive-locked. At most, I might delete the entries because I’m not huge on linking to archive-locked material. I’ve also created some bookmarking collections on AO3. I’ll link to those at well.

I want to post more recs to fancake before the amnesty period ends, and of course I need to start on the table I picked up six months ago from femslashficlets.

I meant to improve on my fanwork template, but I haven’t had the time, alas.

Going to post my final spook_me fic soon. The header might look a bit bare in parts for a few hours, but I won’t be able to get to my device this evening for a few hours. Thinking I might fix the header sometime tomorrow to be honest.

I’ll have a separate update for the drabbles and ficlets I’m still posting to femslashficlets later; I’m adding to and cleaning up the individual posts, and I need to post the drabbles and ficlets to AO3.

So a while back I made a fanfic template after hope ‘s Fanfic Template Builder went down temporarily. I was irritated after receiving a comment from the person who revived the template. Upon looking at the template for the first time in a long time, my anger was misplaced. What I should’ve done was linked to the template builder and agreed that my template, based on that template, could be a backup for that template builder. With that said, and I know it’s shitty for me to wait roughly five years to say this, but I apologize to eyebrowofdoom for losing my cool. (I was so mad at the time I deleted the corresponding Dreamwidth comment, and if that person is on Dreamwidth, I’m sorry I don’t know your handle.)

For the moment I’m taking my template offline. I may make it live again, with some alterations in the post (I can’t make tonight). But if I can’t make heads or tails of the HTML, I may take it down for good.

To be truthful, I’ve been writing some WWE fic. I just haven’t posted it to my journal yet. I should; what I’ve been writing is for femslashficlets.

That said, I signed up to write two ideas for spook_me. There was this one idea I wanted to do, but previous spook_me prompts didn’t accommodate for what I wanted to do. So I came up with another idea that works with one of the yearly prompts, something that will involve road trips (around the last time the WWE’s main shows were aired one day after another, in 2019), a vampire, and a pit stop for blood.

But then this year’s prompt list included “evil toys.” I signed up for it, although what I have in mind isn’t a “toy.” The idea’s shifted in my head a bit, but it involves a possessed item, and what I hope to do will be psychological horror.

I’m also playing with an AU idea—more fantasy booking than horror.

I’m notoriously bad at sticking to my prompt ideas, so don’t hold me to what I’ve written above.

Haven’t been able to send an update in the past couple of days, but I’m done with my oral surgery. Still recovering. Still taking it easy, but I’ll get back to doing fandom things soon.
