Pussy Galore: Suits, "Normandy"

Also: the episode where it feels like we're heading into Mad Men territory, but without the Mad Men characters, in regards to the ending.
We start with a video of Folsom Foods and the founder talking about the sex discrimination allegations. Folsom Foods: I get it, but this case will not DIE. Harvey and Mike are watching it so they can catch the founder in a lie. That tape they're watching is not it.
Frustrated, Harvey goes to Jessica about Daniel expediting some of the Folsom Foods cases. tl;dr, Harvey wants more resources and Jessica doesn't have the money.
Meanwhile, Rachel says looking into one of the Folsom cases via a private investigator in Massachusetts. She's actually dreaming of where she wants to live when she gets into Harvard ("when" in this case meaning "she hasn't gotten in yet").
From where Rachel is working in the firm's library Harvey calls him to do some walking around the office because I guess the director wanted them to walk about the set or something. Harvey tells Mike about the tightened resources. It then segues into a discussion about Normandy. (Rim shot.) They decide to go after the supposed weak spot in the Folsom Foods cases, Bakersfield. Good luck with that.
Donna subtly warns Harvey about Dana (aka "Scottie") before he meets her in the conference room. She never got married (and it's been so long since she's been on the show. I've forgotten her). Scottie's trying to take ten of of Harvey's Bakerfield clients. He refuses. Credits.
Harvey tells Jessica about Scottie. Harvey wants to team up with Scottie to defeat Daniel (working with her on 45 cases instead of ten); Jessica agrees. Jessica warns him not to lose against her as opposed to losing with her.
Katrina is trying to take over from Mike on the Parkfield case. (This is different from the Bakerfield
cases, unless this is a huge writing snafu I'm blogging about.) I'm thinking her days at Pearson Hardman are numbered, and she's going to fuck up in a massive way that'll cause her firing.
Mike tells this to Harvey. Harvey tells Mike about Scottie. Mike thinks they're going to lose the cases.
Although, in her words, Donna's said nothing but nice things about Scottie, she doesn't trust her and doesn't want Harvey fucking her. Cue Donna/Harvey shippers. After Donna leaves, and after a very complicated exchange, Scottie and Harvey make plans to go to all 45 cities the Folsom Foods cases are in.
Mike's been reassigned on the Parkfield case, but before he and Katrina can talk about that, Jessica needs them to find out about a mistress involved in the case. Katrina's found out about why she's been hired to Pearson Hardman, and because of this, she's using it as leverage to get this Parkfield case, even if it's screwing Mike (and, as you'll see later, Rachel) over. All I've learned is that hiring freezes are stupid (in relation to this show).
Scottie and Harvey flirt, then fuck, on her jet. Yawn.
Donna walks in to Rachel's office as she's holding her Harvard rejection letter. Donna sees the letter, knows what's up and offers support. As Donna's leaving, Mike comes in Rachel's office, and he knows what's going on as well. They also talk about the only part of the Folsom case he and Rachel have control over: finding out about the Folsom VP Harvey and Scottie are seeing in Parkfield.
Which apparently is a rural town with a factory in Missouri, where Daniel meets them. Scottie warns Daniel that she has people everywhere, but Daniel's not phased (or happy that she knows he's sexist). Harvey's "niece" Mike calls him and reveals why the VP was hired to Folsom.
Harvey and Scottie confront the VP (a woman). The VP was rejected four times before she was hired. Harvey insists that she was promoted because Folsom is sexist enough to not promote women who are family oriented and because the VP had a hysterectomy that left her unable to bear children (because of uterine cancer). But unfortunately for Harvey, the VP never told anyone about the hysterectomy. (The president did find out, but still.)
Before meeting up with the VP, Harvey didn't tell Scottie about the hysterectomy, and Scottie is rightfully pissed off about it. They accuse each other of trying to win over each other. Then Scottie reveals that ever since Harvey won over her, she hasn't been considered to be a partner in name...like Harvey...oh dear. She's trying to win these cases to be a name partner. After that, they stop fighting.
Rachel's still suffering from being rejected from Harvard. Because of this, Jessica has to delay a meeting with Daniel, and this all gets taken out on Rachel, unfortunately.
Katrina rubs it in Rachel's face that she's a lawyer and Rachel will never be one. Up until this point, Katrina's motives have been noble, but this? Is cruel, and it's the point where I stopped liking the character, which may also signal bad things to come for her.
Louis senses that Rachel is also down because of Harvard. He vows to get her in Harvard (through his connection with her interviewer, Sheila...ha).
Harvey and Scotty get back to NYC, and Scotty's boss is at Pearson Hardman. Scotty's boss also hates Daniel and is willing to back Pearson Hardman against him.
Mike sees Rachel, and she's found personal files on the Folsom Foods VP.
Harvey and Scotty know that, despite the investment, Jessica and Scotty's boss know that they screwed up in Parkfield.
Unfortunately for Mike, Katrina stole Mike and Rachel's VP scoop.
Mike confronts Katrina for stealing Mike and Rachel's idea. She claims that Mike didn't want to work with her.
Louis sees Sheila about Rachel. She thinks the confrontation is "noble," and...they have sex, which is less painful to see than Harvey/Scotty on her jet.
Mike and Rachel find out a way to steal Katrina's files as revenge over Katrina. She plans to seduce to obtain the files.
Sheila explains to Louis that, despite the hot sex, Rachel isn't going to Harvard Law, and Louis thinks Sheila is taking it out on him.
Mike walks in an arguement Harvey and Jessica are having over "Pussy Galore" (guess). He has the info on VP that can sway the Parkfield case. Jessica relents and offers to get "Pussy Galore" and her private jet back.

They really hate Daniel at this point.
Anyway, Daniel comes by, well, Pearson. Scotty and the VP are there. Mike's find is an email that proves why the VP was promoted (for sexist reasons). Daniel's lost this case, but vows to win the war, unsurprisingly enough.
Rachel vows not to reveal what exactly she did to get that email to Mike. At Rachel's office, Katrina is there, and mad they stole "her" scoop. She leaves, but gets in more digs at Rachel, not revealing that Mike is, well, lying about being a lawyer.
Scotty's boss sees Jessica; she's taking his offer on a merger. Harvey sees this.
Harvey sees Scotty at dinner and confronts him about the merger (that he doesn't want now). Scotty wants her name on his firm's door. He swears the merger isn't happening.
Jessica and Scotty's boss sees Daniel to threaten him with the merger.
Louis tells Rachel that she won't be getting into Harvard, and once again, Rachel thinks she's not good enough.
Which leads into next week's finale: it seems like Rachel finds out about Mike. And it's a good thing, because the "Mike isn't a lawyer secret" is starting to wear on me.
