This is my letter to you to aid you in writing for me. I wrote a Yuletide letter that explains how I ended up writing fanfic and what I like and don't like.  If we match on Torchwood I guess this letter and my Torchwood tag will be the only source of aid I can provide, but for Luther or Boardwalk Empire, you can look at my Yuletide letter for more advice. I'm in the middle of writing for big bangs, considering another Torchwood challenge and preparing for dark_fest and the Porn Battle, so apologies for sounding scattered in advance.

Torchwood

Esther Drummond, Lois Habiba, Suzie Costello, Dr. Vera Juarez, Jilly Kitzinger

1) Character studies are fine with Torchwood.  There aren't a lot of fics that explain the backstories of these characters (especially the others not named Suzie), and I'd love to read a fic that explains how these women were before they ran into Torchwood.  And, I guess for only Lois and Jilly (SIGH), their lives after meeting Torchwood.

2) I'd really like to see Suzie interact with Tosh more--the two of them trying to pry into each other's lives, that one time (according to the dead Torchwood in-series website run by the BBC) Tosh and Suzie went out to celebrate Suzie's birthday (Suzie's over 30, that's all Tosh knows), Suzie and Tosh talking about Tosh's crush on Owen, anything.

3) If you like writing femslash: original series femslash between Suzie/Tosh or Suzie/Gwen.  (AU is fine, especially with Suzie/Gwen.  I just like that noncon kiss they had near the end of "They Keep Killing Suzie.")  

Or, with MD, femslash between Esther, Vera and/or Jilly.  

Luther

Alice Morgan, Zoe Luther, Rose Teller, Jenny Jones

1) Character studies are fine with Luther as well.  Why does Alice like to dress up in wigs?  Zoe's life before she met John, and maybe at the start of their relationship?  What Rose and/or Jenny are doing now, before Luther Series 3 Josses those bunnies?  Those are some ideas, but you don't have to go with these.

2) In the back of my head, I imagine Alice finding ways to sneak into Zoe's house well after 1.02 (and John tells Alice to leave Zoe alone).  I've entertained the cracky possibility of Zoe willingly being duct taped against a wall or something while Alice taunts her, but something as simple as Zoe offering her tea and/or coffee talking about anything (John, a case Zoe's working on, favorite coffees) would be awesome.  (Doesn't have to be femslash.)    

Boardwalk Empire

Gillian Darmody, Angela Darmody, Lenore White, Louise Bryant, Mary Dittrich

1)  Any other character study idea not mentioned below, if these plot bunnies are too frustrating.

2) Any fic about Lenore White's life and her relationship with Chalky.

3) Gillian and how being raped by the Commodore at a young age affected her life.  Why does she feel like she needs to be loyal to the Commodore?  And why does she want to reclaim her lost youth with Jimmy (and possibly Tommy)?  

4) Angela and her relationships with Mary and/or Louise (her girlfriends).  And maybe Gillian finds out and starts developing her homophobic and anti-bohemian ideas about Angela through the discovery of these relationships.
